Don't hold your breath for subsequent installments, courtesy of CBS...

Nice special effects, it's a shame they didn't get to finish it. :(

Based on the settlement agreement with CBS, two 15 minute episodes are in the works: http://www.axanarproductions.com/donor-update-may-5-2017/...

It's a shame they're so restricted.
I seriously doubt this was ever a real threat to the Star Trek IP rights holders and you'd think the Star Trek people would be more supportive of the fan community with a new show coming out.

They don't want competition and they've gone so far as to add the requirement that professional actors, especially those who've starred in prior Star Trek productions, can no longer be associated with these fan productions. No different with FFG and Warhammer Roleplay 3rd Edition and GW's cease and desist letter to Warpstone magazine. Hogshead was okay with an independent publication and IIRC, told GW to rein in their harassment, and don't recall the situation with 2nd Ed. released by Black Library/Green Ronin.

Despite JJ Abrams warnings about fan backlash, he's the guy who wanted ToS merchandise discontinued in favor of stuff associated with his Star Trek versions.
