That's not the problem here. Apparently there was a partnership with BF, a Kickstarter, and now a lot of bad blood + pissed off backers. I also noticed that BF stopped featuring anything Dust related in their newsletter about 8 weeks ago. Must be related.

As far as I can see BF are meant to be collecting the money and distributing the goods while Dust Studios are in charge of production.
Backers are pissed off because they aren't getting their stuff and allegations are flying all over the place.

Yup. That's how I've read it. BF collected the monies but have failed to pass on what is owed to Dust Studios. Therefore Dust Studios are not releasing the pledges at this time.
Something seems to be going very wrong with BF if this is the case. A simple smash and grab exercise by the middleman?

And I thought with two experienced (and established) companies like Dust Studios and Battlefield there could possibly go nothing wrong with this Kickstarter.

That's what Dust Studios are saying - Battlefront are saying nothing.

I fear the writing was on the wall the moment the KS launched with prices significantly higher than those being charged for pre-orders (of the same stuff) by all the big US discounters
BF as the new all singing all dancing distributors were the ones who offered the stuff online discounters and should have known their KS prices had to at worst equal them. Yes they reduced the KS prices/added extra stuff after the KS was running but they were clearly not on the ball

3 pages for the contract seems a bit of a laugh for a deal concerning 100,000's of dollars. Oh well.

So... if either side is late with manufacturing, delivery, payment etc the contract is void?

When did Battlefront start channeling CMON?

Latest thing is Paolo / Dust studio asking for copies of our invoices to see how much stuff they have left to produce. Which is fine apart from the fact I can't find my sodding invoice, and neither can a few others I know who have done the KS...
