Thta's what I said last night but are they not gone?

I don't think it changes anything. First, probably somebody somewhere has the rights to the imagery (as Confrontation world is in use in board games published by other companies) and second, the Warploque bloke had already shown he can do original great looking stuff so why "chapterhouse" yourself that early? :D

Hey guys! I'm glad you liked the oriental miniatures, hopefully they will do well, and I can sculpt more of them! And I think the Yaoguai is a great idea... keep it based within the same country :P

Anyway, a new model!

With a small metal spin mould having the capability of casting 9 models at a time, and me being a Yorkshireman, I wanted to get the most for my money and fill up all 9 spaces.

Currently on the shortlist is -

Dokta Shamadu (2 Parts)
Big Mama Gator (2 Parts)
Boglin 1 (1 Part)
Boglin 2 (1 Part)
Boglin 3 (1 Part)
Halfling Chef (1 Part)
Chinese Goblin (2 Parts, body and 2 arms attached to sprue)

Which leaves 2 spaces, ready and waiting! And brings me to my update... more of a "spare putty sculpt" than anything, Zombie Pirates!

Still rather basic... along with the fact that the angle of the picture makes it look like it has tiny weeny legs :P

Is it worth carrying on with it, or should I do something else?

Thanks,

- Alex

Hey guys!

Well, here are the final pictures before i send these guys off to the metal casters... I decided to only do 8 for the moment, 6 for release, and the Hobgoblin and the Zombie Pirate will be kept to one side for conversion into more Hobgoblins/Pirates so that I can release squads!

Anyway,

The first two are top notch - some neat ideas too, then the rest looks... bit rushed. Or - the smaller the miniatures, the less your styling works on them.
Also, once again, you are dangerously close to copying bitz from Wyrd miniatures gremlins (two of three minis have exactly the same equipment, very similar styling and the matter).

Morf - Thanks man! The last two are meant to be rough, as I am using them soley to sculpt upon when doing other miniatures, so hopefully the desired outcomes should be better :)

Well guys, sorry for the wait, Real Life has been taking over a bit - Just a quick update ( I'm just about to go out on the town, it's my 18th birthday tomorrow ;) ), so heres what i've been working on for the shop -

Yao Guai (Chinese Ogre) -

And work has started on the "Death Kiwis"! ( Check my blog on The Warhammer Forum to find out more, I would go on in detail but as said before I'm in a rush) -

First of all:

Happy Birthday! Now that you're 18 I am pretty sure that the frothers will be more free with the insults!

I am loving watching as you churn out more stuff. I never had the confidence to try sculpting but its good to see that perhaps we have another master sculpter in his early days!

I like all of the stuff you have put on this thread and am tempted by all of it. I like the style and even those that others have said 'look rough' only do so when compared to your other miniatures and therefore you own standards.

I like the character in them all, something more than just static boring poses and facial expressions. Keep it up and once again - happy birthday.
