Gears & Mutants update

Postby Nicolas Genovese » Mon Dec 29, 2014 2:12 am

Here are some painted versions of the Gears & Mutants miniatures for my upcoming skirmish game. Gears & Mutants is an alternate American Civil War game played between 2 players with the Confederate and Union forces. I have been working on this in my free time for a few years and it is coming to fruition now. Kickstarter with lots of goodies coming in the next few months :) There will be dozens more sculpts that I'm working on featuring different mutations or steampunk parts that can be upgraded in the game.

Nice ideas but they don't quite translate across from the artwork in my opinion

that - the models would look better if not shown next to the concept art. I do like the way the Southern traitors all look like mutants. Not much has changed to this day either

Really cool idea, looking at the concepts for future models, you coud consider incorporating more elements, such as guitare wire, stell rods and what not, into you sculpting when it comes to subjects like the steam snipers leg.

Bad translations of the concept art. The figures are amaturish, and look like fan made conversion. The steam sniper is awful, those huge hammy hands holding the weapon all wrong, and the legs are just pipes glued together, unlike the great armwork.

There's only one "m" in vomit.

Proportions on the figures look a bit odd.
