I can't for the life of me find those pillar caps on the site. Knowing me though I looked right at them but still managed to miss them...

They could be useful for when I make my cemetery, although I'm still debating whether your brick walls & gates would work for the project. I might just buy a few and see.

Tutorial for building the Pylons is now on the website: http://fenrisgames.com/tutorials/pylon-assembly - far simpler to knock up than the sheer number of parts seems to suggest.

Thanks for the tutorial. Plan on getting three pylons and this help a lot. On a related note, any thoughts on wires to hang from them. I figure running them across board would cause to many problems, but totally cool with broken wires hanging lose. The challenge is that standard thin wire is rather bendy and hard to straighten and really does not look the part. I tried it on some smaller plastic power lines and the results are mixed.

I think you're going to struggle to find a material suitable to making a good catenary shape. Conductors (cables/wires) hang in a catenary shape predominantly because of their mass. A suitably heavy but flexible material in 1:50 scale is unlikely. Bear in mind those conductors you see can be up to 200mm thick.

I'd suggest trying some form of nylon fishing line. It'll be too light and stiff but you should be able to pose it, and bend/pinch the points where they pass throughout the tower suspension insulators. You can get it in black too.

I'd suggest black or silver model boat rigging, comes in a variety of thicknesses and has enough weight to sag. Can't find the link for the people I get the black version from (for the Ichabod Crane kit) but this sort of thing: http://www.syrenshipmodelcompany.com/miniature-rope.php

Paint some thick cotton thread with PVA? Or use the thread and spray varnish matt? Just a thought
