Star Wars Imperial Assault

Postby Carcharoth » Wed Aug 20, 2014 1:58 pm

Has anybody seen the new Star Wars game from FFG? It seems to have a bunch of plastic figures, but I've no idea about scale.
They'll be bendy plastic and I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but it does look quite good so far...

I've read somewhere (don't remember when) that they are 32-35 mm scale.

The minis look alright, but those tiles seem much too tiny?

I REALLY want this to be good, certainly has potential. Bendiness may put a bit of a dampener on things :(

Would love to see that scout walker do anything interesting in its tiny room.

Looks like the 5th version of the Doom/Descent rules, going by the dice. I'm hping that these aren't too dissimilar to the WotC pre-painted plastics or the Knight Models metals.

Doom rules. That's a shame 'cause I found them dull as fuck.
I couldn't understand why they didn't just steal space hulk

Models have the potential to end up being cheap plastic crap. Also, why have a fucking scout walker in a board game with tiles that size?

Think it's outside dude. (Green tile being the endor like clue)...

I have however been wrong before.

Mind you space crusade (stone cold classic) had an indoor robot thing too....

Space crusade (definitively the point at which Games Workshop slipped from slightly evil moneygrabbing corporation to who gives a fuck about quality corporate rapists) had a rather smaller robot... Not a walking light tank.

That said I think you are right about it being outside.

My new question.. Why is the outside divided into corridors?
