I said I'd post that conversion; I've wanted to do this simple thing so about 20 years...another of life's missions complete. And with this I resurrect my blog too!

Great work on the catapult Harry, it does need the pile of skulls though :D

Rochie, your Talisman models are very fine, indeed a bit cartoony but the little diorama bases are very nice!

Erny, nice work on the Necromancer, but the piccie with the vampire is really atmospheric! It's a simple conversion but it's very effective. I would love to see more of the Nightmare Legion too, going to check your blog :D

I painted up the trio of the vampire, wizard and necromancer too for the LPL6 so I won't show them here (yet). The Necromancer is quite large indeed and I think he's supposed to be standing on his toes on his left foot, showing only half a foot and toes, though maybe your model is miscast Harry.

The Vampire is my favourite of the lot and the Liche my least favourite, but so far only the Liche has seen action on the battlefield (last Tuesday). The Necromancer does leave me a bit cold as a model in my army but I did have fun painting him up.

Graccus wrote:@Harry: aren't you forgetting something? Shouldn't there be a pile of skulls to go with the Screaming Skull Catapult? Well painted, by the way. Is that a 40 mm base for the catapult itself?

You know your right. I shall have a hunt ... it must be around here some place.

It is on a 40mm base. But looks a bit cramped ... I might put it on a 50mm base .... but eventually I plan on dropping it into a scenic base.

@Rochie ... I love those old Talisman minis. Big fan of Ally Morrisons stuff. I love the cartoonyness.

@Erny ... I have that guy on my painting table right now. Love that little conversion.

Talking of Marauder miniatures ... I am painting up a bunch of these guys next.

Excellent Halfling team, just for show or do you plan to use them?

Marauder skellies :froth: proving that style over anatomic accuracy wins hands down. I need some. Does the undead marauder army deal (or bits of it other than the necromancer) ever surface on ebay, I?m only really an opportunist undead collector so don?t know?

Everything is to be played with. Can't see the point in owning toys and not playing with them ... what's that all about?

Over the last few years I have seen the odd one or two come up but only ever seen one decent lot of them ... and I bought them.

Meanwhile ... at the risk of wearing out my welcome I have painted up my Perry giant. I have been painting up a selection of old vintage giants.

Here is a group shot of three guys already done:

... and here is the next my Perry giant:

Hope you like him.
