Part of the Wallace collection is still in London, most of it went to Leeds... to the Armoury

I thought this sounded wrong, so I've just talked to a mate who worked at the Wallace. The entire Wallace collection is in London, they are prohibited from even lending stuff out by the Will that bequeathed the collection to the nation. Don't know who you were talking to Pete, but no part of the Collection is in Leeds.

I stand corrected, I know we had this confusion, the last time we met...
Your mate from the Wallace was a delight to speak to a few years ago...

Well, the guys at the armouries are happy to give private talks and handling sessions of the weapons and armour. Had a session with the Henry 8th/tudor period stuff a few years ago. UK and European.

They seemed pretty knowledgeable about the period.

It's the best reason to go to Leeds.
