15mm Napoleonic Sci Fi

Postby Khurasanminiatures » Tue Nov 19, 2013 5:50 pm

Or blackpowder sci fi if you prefer -- the models were made for an alien world on which Napoleonic tactics and weapons tech are used. The thought is these could be used for VSF, or Sci Fi in which a more primitive alien race is encountered, or even Fantasy in which one faction has really got its act together in terms of tech! Or Napoleonics that get taken out and gamed with after one's had a few. :)

The first faction is called the Arak. Infantry march attack:

Same but skirmishing or in firing lines:

Mounted on alien riding beast (which is quite a bit bulkier than a horse)

A command set for the mounted:

A field piece:

And finally a high command set with the height of the hat determining seniority:

The alien riding creatures are also available on their own -- heads are separate so there's some pose variation:

So all of the basic elements of an 18th-19th century force.

They're listed here, cheers for looking:

Hmm... you could do some kind of Lacepunk Baron von Munchausen trip to the moon/mars/whatever with those.

Surprising in a good way! When I clicked on the thread I thought I'd be seeing shakos and gas masks, and maybe humanoid cavalry mounted on big lizards etc. this is good stuff, nice one Khurasan.

I like them. And they could be small aliens for 25/30mm!
