Legendarion has a few good ideas! Inso's not posted his finished Chibiprimes yet though.

Are these prints BTW, lots of lines going on.

I'm not Rob... I didn't like the idea of him blatantly stealing ideas and said so... I don't need to repeat it over and over again.

The only bit of these marines that I like are the sculpted shoulder pads... they have a very Soviet look to them. The rest... yadda-yadda :(

The soviet look is not just down to the shoulder pads, it's down to the:(red) stars, drum mags & the budenovka style helmet.

Anyone can make a star/rifle/hat look Soviet, the style of the figure on the shoulder pad is much more difficult to achieve.

I find these just as boring as the tired old concept they are meant to be based on.

Actually, these Sovvie Marines are quite original. No rocks to stand on, couldn't spot a skull and didn't see too many spikes, so yes, I'd call it refreshing :mrgreen: .
