Hook Horror aka Malal demon

Postby sOOp » Fri Oct 25, 2013 12:13 am

I don't think this has been posted yet. I found this by way of the Realm of Chaos blog. All photos taken from that blog. A demon of Malal from some unused artwork from the Realm of Chaos era of Warhammer.

And now available from CP Models. I wonder if Tony Ackland is getting a cut?

Don't know the financial details, but he certainly gave his blessing for the project, from what I've read.

I dunno. Would he have given Ian Livingstone a cut? :wry:

Saw the sculpt when it was a WIP on the LAF. Not too bad, but I only wish (as ever) that there was a wee bit more development in the sculpt and sculptor before going flinging things about for sale.

This may be ripped off Warhammer, but it also fits the description for a D&D Hook Horror :)

I like ( or Hope ) to think that I've improved a little bit since sculpted that piece

As for flinging them for sale, if people are happy with my work and want to buy them from me thats there choice. I'm never going to be the best sculptor out there but, if some people like my sculpts I'm happy and I'll keep doing them :-)

cheers

George sculpts some of the most fun pieces around. Maybe not gold plated masterpieces but I love 'em.
