I like the illustration and love the sculpting.
Sometimes a dynamic illustration just doesn't work as a miniature, 1 foot poses especially.

I remember the absolute pain in the arse that was Jain Zar, ok she was metal, but so unstable.
After she snapped off the base it was a nightmare trying to remount her, just not enough metal in the leg to pin her to the base.

Well these are goign to be cast in resin and are being cast by Valiant whose resin is notoriously brittle. They have alot of figures that have bits that are goign to be problematic. Teit Kibi or whatever her name is is choick full of bits that won't survive much handling. They should have reduced the scale and cast everythign in metal for gamign purposes.

And how in the flyign FUCK is that 35 mm?? That Kingdom Death figure is like 40 mm tall and the AR fig next to it woudl stand head and shoulders taller if it were standing flat footed with it's back straight. Not meaning to be over critical because that is a FANTASTIC figure but come on..... this is as much 35mm as GW is 28mm. I really do not think it shoudl matter though as the game is meant to be played with only a very few figures which are all built to this same scale.

Yeah that 35mm scale doesn't seem quite right. That base measures exactly 30mm across on my monitor and the guy is over35 mm tall not even stood up straight. So by '35mm scale' they may mean to the eyes for a 5'10 man or something. Which would make a tall man well over 40mm.

I very much doubt these would fit in with many, if any, 28/30mm minis. Always a weird business choice when starting a new game, there's making a product slightly future prof and then there's jumping ahead a few years.

Shame cos Seb's stuff is some of his best work.

I've got resin figures from Valient and they're not brittle IMHO.
As for the size/dynamism etc. the folks buying them/pledging are doing it for a different reason than you would^^ they want the figures in that style. Maybe they like the size or have no desire to mix them with other figures or simply don't care. Tbh, I think they'll be used as fancy cmon canvases as much as gaming pieces but still less than as things to take out of the drawer, think how cool they are and then put back in for six months.

Without a doubt one of the best sculptures I've seen in a while. Superb work, the posing and especially the musculature is spot on. :froth:
