I'm with Inso on this. It doesn't work great as a stag, but it fits in well as some sort of fantasy riding mammal (and not the sort of "fantasy riding" that Richard obviously has in mind!)

The lass looks well sculpted too. I have no problem with her, but I do have a problem with that shite that comes over the speakers when you go on their site

But what mammal immediately comes to mind when you first glance at it?

Not a great excuse, IMO. You don't take a bad sculpt of e.g. a human and say something like "oh, it was meant to be cartoony goblin all along!"

I thought it was a horse with stag antlers. :|

The girl is good, but pity about the stupid tittage blockerery.

Not an excuse Warren, just a comment. It could make a decent fantasy elk based thing just as many fantasy beasts are based on nature but not there. Something little bit off (even if by accident) is probably better than many of the creatures that are amalgamations of various beasties that we see regularly.

I'll go along with that. Plenty of stylised wolves out there, I'd put this fella in the same bracket. The lass is definitely mounted too far back though.

In an age when you are only as smart as your smart-phone, well, you guys sure give TMPers a run for the money.

I had real problems with that elk, then I googled up images. You know what? The legs could probably be a little more delicate and gawky, but elks actually look a lot like that.

I was going to comment on the riding position, but isn't that ancient bareback style? (danger, danger, this is Frothers!)

What does look odd is the position of the club - isn't she about to drop it? And that elk mane headdress must be terribly heavy.

Hew

I visited Yellowstone on bicycle once. The tourists were walking to within six feet of grazing elk to take their pictures. Elks are huge. I thought they were all nuts.

Oh yeah - the only thing that makes her feral is the rock on a stick! - how am I doing Duff?

An elk with horse legs, maybe.

Doing a GIS for "elk" shows me that their neck - or whichever bit of their body is in front of the forelegs is horizontal, not like that model. The shoulders should be more muscular.
