I may have made an exception to my KS moratorium with this. Wife's first comment was Martians are too tall and I agree.

Apparently Mantic are planning to have a Judge dredd martian model as a stretch goal sometime during the campaign, they've hinted at it in the most recent KS update as they posted a silhouetted version of the picture shown below. They've also shown off a large flying stand which hopefully means an Alien saucer might be the next stretch goal, as the Kickstarter really needs something big to help attract some new backers.

Its been a pretty good day for the Kickstarter campaign, Mantic added a new $300 pledge level which gave the KS a big 70k push and as a result a few stretch goals have been passed. The flying saucer has been unlocked, along with the Martian dredd model and Deke a new human survivor model. Both the Martian and human armies have received a heavy weapons soldier which have been added to the core box along with being added to the $15 troop add-on option. The Martian marines unit have also been unlocked and the next stretch goal the Stealth Martians will be unlocked in another 10k.

Mantic also has a side stretch goal going that is based off the amount of total backers, they recently reached 1750 backers which unlocked a set of 3 burning cattle models that are based off a card played in the game. The next unlock comes at 2000 backers which will be a set of frightened civilian models. I'm hoping Mantic won't fuck them up, because i could see unarmed modern civilians being very useful for other games.

The foot-on-teddy-bear is a nice evolution of the foot-on-rock.

Are they going to sell some of this stiff seperately? I just want to buy some, realise I still hate plastic and stamp on them.

Classic Terror - check your PMs...guessing your inbox is full

Re:Martian Dredd, I appreciate its a crossover model, but seems really really niche as an extra model....perhaps better served by something more useable for the majority of pledgers.... :?

that's why it's a core add on rather than an upgrade to the core boxset so people who don't want it don't have to.

I figured I'd post this since the offer is almost over, until midnight on the 27th of October (PDT time.) Mantic will be including an exclusive alternate version of the martian model 'General Tor' in all pledge levels of $75 and over. Mantic is also running another timed freebie until midnight of November 3rd, all pledges of $100 and up made before then will include an additional 5 different human Tiger Corps models.

Mantic are also only $700 away from their next stretch goal which is the Martian robot, it will be 6.5 inches tall (Or 170mm.) and cost $30 for one or $75 for a set of three.
