I understand that the game will be loosely based on the Deadzone rules and played on a 2ft by 2ft table so I wouldn't be surprised if vehicles don't make it to the kickstarter (although a couple of saucers have been mentioned in passing). The game will also come with modular scenery which will be compatable with Deadzone scenery but very different stylistically.

Talk of another couple of factions being added to the kickstarter if it does well enough (Novas Vira and a different Martian faction who are opposing the regular Martian faction).

And October the 4th is said to be the start date for the Kickstarter.
I'd recognise that sound anywhere! That's the sound of a hundred heads deflating.

I wonder if they'll look that good when they're made of bendy-PVC-rot.

Mantic recently posted a few renders of the models and terrain over on their blog, they also posted some information on what the core box set will contain.
Ashley will joining Buddy, Brandi and Joe in our upcoming Mars Attacks miniatures game. The game box will contain those three, plus a squad of U.S. Troopers, up against General Tor and his Martian Grunts. Of course, that’s just where it starts. If the Kickstarter campaign is successful, we’d like to add plenty more variety! That means more heroes, more Martians, and maybe even some vehicles!

The army guys look too modern, should be more a '50's vibe. But I do like the martians, defintely up for them.

The licence mantic have is primarily for the new card set and comics which are based in the present day rather then the original 50s setting of the card set (although if this really takes off I could see them adding a set of 50s soldiers as a stretch goal).
