Fucking hell Duff, you may know nowt about films but you can't half slap paint on a mini.

The red and white are fucking lush. How do you get your highlighting like that? If I try to paint anything like that red with those level of highlights the whole thing ends up lighter than I wanted it too.

I'm not sure what to suggest except maybe start with a darker red. I use VMC Black red, then VGC Red Gore and VMC Scarlet. If I want another highlight I'll either add a touch of buff, or, as in this case, use the P3 red I have, which has an orangey tone.

Get you with your 4 shades of red.

That's probably the problem then. I have one red and then darken it with black for the base coat, mix in more of the red gradually to bring it to the 'pure' shade of the original and then start adding white for the highlight stages.
