Franceso Gonzaga Crossing the River Taro

Postby Atheling » Tue Apr 15, 2014 11:41 am

I thought that some of you might be interested in this vignette that I have been working personally between frenzied bouts painting for others of on of late.

It is the famous but doomed charge of Francesco II Gonzaga Marquis of Mantua against the nobility of France at the Battle of Fornovo 1495, that marked the beginning of The Italian Wars.

There are many more pics on my blog, but here is a taster just for now:

Thanks for taking a look and as I said, if you want to see more then take a peek at my blog:

Well, it is meant to be placed upon the table when Gonzaga charges  :D .

In the meantime it can spend it's happy days in my cabinet :) .

Well, whilst not a whole diorama (I think I'd lose it slowly if I had to do that  ), there will be a series of vignettes that illustrate key moments (as well as the commands) during the demo game. One that I'm particularly looking forward to doing is the Stradiots discovering Charles VIII personal stash or porn!!

Seriously! It's a key moment as far as I'm concerned! :D

Thanks for all the positive comments chaps and chapeses 8) .

Darrell.
