Halfords Textured Spray Paint

Picked this up yesterday on a whim to try on some scenery. I'm basing Necromunda type stuff on the GW modular regiment bases, these are really handy but the edges are smooth which clashes with the textured tile effect of the base.

Anyhow, having had a test spray or two, the Halfords stuff is looking to be very useful. Texture wise it is very fine, very similar to the texture of the top of GW's slotta bases. Although I'm using it on buildings, it would also be subtle enough to use on vehicles, it is certainly going to find its way on to my ork stuff.

Coverage wise, similar to any other spray paint, to get an even texture probably requires three light coats. It comes in a couple of colours, but I've gone with the grey for obvious reasons.

Pretty impressed with it so far and certainly likely to be a regular in my paint supplies.

Anyhow, hopefully this shows the texture, sprayed over a smooth plastic coffee lid.

When did they start doing that? I might have to get myself a can for some of the buildings I'm putting together.

Does the grey match the halfords primer?

It's in the range with the camo colour paints, no idea how long it's been available. They also do a range of matt bright colours for graffiti and art work.

Compared to the primer it looks to be very slightly darker, but it's only noticeable under bright light.
