Texan Scrunts Skirmish Force

I posted these figs on Warseer earlier this month to collect some kudos; I figured I'd bring 'em here for the horrible truth. They're supposed to be a Necromunda gang, so there are couple hired-gun-types mixed in among the Texans. If for some reason you want to read my rambling commentary on each and every one of the figures, you can find it at http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?382132-Texan-Scrunts-visit-the-Underhive. Comments, suggestions, and criticisms welcome! Granted, there's a good chance I won't follow your suggestions, but I can promise I will read and consider them.

They're grand 8)

A couple of suggestions...

If you're doing more get the Fenris Sulaco bases rather than make your own - less hassle and a neater finish

Try an extra highlight on the beards to really make them pop - Texan scrunts are basically just a beard with a big gun

I hate the figs, but great clean, crisp paintjobs. Nice brushwork!

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

@Dags: I've never used resin bases before. It seems like attaching the figures to them would be a pain, but they do look nice. I dunno, I might try 'em out sometime. As for the beards, I rarely regret extreme highlighting; I'll keep that in mind when I do more of these.

@BLF: Different strokes, eh? I love cartoony, exaggerated figures, and realistically proportioned historicals put me to sleep. My mind may have been warped by early exposure to a stack of '80s White Dwarfs, though.

A straggler mosies in to the thread. I've been working on some kitbashed EE plastics lately, but I managed to squeeze in some painting time for this fig.
