Another update, had a good sit down this weekend and got some more paint on plastic.
Also this week been busy converting one of these new updates and casting some Heroquest style bases so all the minis I paint for the game will sit on the same bases as the originals and not look out of place.
OCD or what?

Start off with a Skeleton from the Darkworld game on one of the above mentioned bases.

Gives more variation to the Skellies in the game which makes me happy. (got more of these as well)

Next a stock Fimir
Image
Edged away from green for him after seeing Mr Saturday's Fimir blog over at LAF.

Finally a converted stock HQ Elf into my earlier styled Drizzt Do'Urden, from the R A Salvatore Dark Elf books for the Forgotten Realms world.

Greenstuff cloak and hood, HQ Goblin swords, and new right hand from some GW placcy arm.

Ta.

Good to see you back on the brushes Bru, Liking the retro fix that is this thread, its almost enough to make me dig out my HQ stuff and paint it....almost :P

The dark elf is good, a little rough here and there but thats understandable as you have been away from painting & modeling and it fits in with the rest of the set you have done wonderfuly, I trust you have some suitable rules inmind for him:)

Keep them coming.

Thanks Bil, glad you like what I'm doing with them.

Feels good to be back painting too, been too long.

Those Fimirs have never looked like good figures to paint, but you've done a good job there :)

I started on the skellie and imediately ballsed up the base whilst trying to prep it with a blade. I've had to now shape it a bit, which is a bit of a conversion and I don't like doing conversions (I'm a bit of a purist like that) :(

I'm still going to finish it, though. So I might hijack this thread to show it :P

Cheers buddy.

By all means show your Skellie in here, can't be any worse than what I'm doing with them.

Few more pieces that have been on my desk for a while.
(Told ya I'm fairly slow at getting stuff done, but I do get there in the end.)

Gladiator
(Really not the best mini I have ever had the misforture to paint, realy poorly sculpted tbh)

Next on my list......well we'll just have to wait and see.....

Thinking of doing all my bases like the Gladiator one with some sparse sand scattered on.

Thanks guys

Yep they are massive. The more I look at the Goblins hands the more I think I should have replaced them then added the spear.
Oh well live and learn.
I'll do it on the next ones for sure.

Sweet bunch of toys :froth:
Are these only for display case or do you actually play HQ?
