The fecker's stay still long enough to paint then.

Hmm. what do you find difficult about em? I've started to use thinner layers on them to minimize real severe highlighting...unless its like the black one, where the coat is supposed to be shiny. Hit the major muscle outlines with lighter shades. And then do some washing- I find washing really makes the horse. A general overall wash to even the tones out, and then more specific washes inthe muscle crevices, and the lower side of all the big muscles, and the stomach, / under the saddle, and in the grooves along the back of the legs.

Coloring makes all the difference I think. Muzzles, white splotches on the head, socks, etc add a lot to an otherwise average painted horse.

I read over this almost everytime before I start, if its been a while since I've done any horses: http://greenfield.fortunecity.com/dream ... colors.htm

So no, no real tips. . just a bunch of rambling. :p

Mine always look a bit too stylised, yours look very natural and much better.

I will try some washes, maybe it'll help smooth things over.

Cheers

Good job. One thing, you rarely see the whites of the eyes on horses unless they're panicked.
