Your IP has been blocked because it is blacklisted?!?

It occasionally happens when trying to respond to someone in a thread, but not when replying to a thread... :?

Your IP has been blocked because it is blacklisted. For details please see http://www.spamcannibal.org.
An entry on the blacklist may have several reasons:
1. You are a well-known spammer.
2. Last time a well-known spammer was using the dynamic IP address which you got from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), your e-mail address or the username you have choosen.
3. Your ISP is well-known for a lot of spamming customers and is not fighting against spammers enough.

Only two I've found. Which may be telling, or not.

There's a workaround, but you're probably not bright enough to have figured it out :)

Happens when I try and quote unregistered guests but not registered posters.
Doesn't always happen.
Much more than two - unless Pat is pretending to be ALL the guests?

Haven't noticed a difference between registered and unregistered posters. I thought http://www.spamcannibal.org is dodgy, as it's blocked by Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin, and the use of choosen instead of chosen.

It sometimes happens to me because I've got a floating IP address. I wouldn't worry too much about it, Condi.

Same message(different spam register) people have been getting for at least 5 years:
http://www.frothersunite.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50295&hilit=blocked
I suspect whichever mod/admin wrote the basic warning and plugged in the spam protection couldn't spell whatever it was they wanted to say proper like.

Some quote attempts could be of members nli? Just asking.

Happens to me occasionally, though I don't know if it's always with quote attempts.
