I played on a server tonight that mixed rounds of Air Superiority between regular Conquest Large. It was good fun since there weren't any jet aces on the server, just regular players trying to figure out how to shoot each other. That AS with the default ticket count only lasts about 5 minutes per round also helped, fast and fun.

That actually sounds nice. I feel it won't last long as jet aces will abound!

as usual best thing to do is lock our server down to X amount of players so no one we don't know can get on, then try this ourselves - although having tried it the other night with Kev, woody and Ben, it's fucking difficult flying the planes!

Air superiority is shit when you're up against people who can fly and boring when you're with a bunch who can't

Mind you, how much easier is it with a joystick?

I forget about teamspeak, I don't pay attention to text on screen, I have to stand still and look around to get my bearings a lot (in game!), I don't know what half the nonsense on screen means, everyone else shoots before I can, everyone moves quicker than me, I can't get my fingers around the control keys and I'm just plain shit at shooters.

I should figure out what all the buttons do and change everything I think.

The number of times I saw you run past me into a hail of bullets because you weren't on Teamspeak so I could tell you they were round the corner. (the plus side was you didn't have to listen to Squeaky's Mrs yelling abuse at him and his dog savaging his trouser leg)
