tac lights only go on when you aim now. There are flash lights that are always on though. Not come across them yet though either

I've just unlocked one for the Rex. I'll let you know how it gets on.

there really are a LOT of glitches atm. I figured with the beta, they'd at least have Shanghai nailed but I have glitches galore. Completely lost all sound yesterday. Shame, had just unlocked the SCAR and it seems pretty nice, less kickback than the last one

If only!

Can't say I'm having any real problems other than the Shanghai collapsing tower bug. So many of the bugs seem to be down to combinations of cards and drivers, it's really a matter of luck if your computer has problems or not. You've got a crap gfx card though haven't you? Strange as it might sound it could be effecting your sound card. Without additional memory on your GFX card, it'll start using the ordinary RAM which your soundcard is also sharing. Lots of movement and lots of gunfire and not enough RAM means the soundcard trips up. If you can't afford a better GFX card could you upgrade the RAM?
We've had 7 updates so far server side and a number of client updates. I get emails of the changes from Fragnet whenever there's a server update.
I find I get more sense on the Fragnet and multiplay forums than the official forums!

The taclight is on at all times unless you toggle it off.

The first light unlock on the rex is the flashlight, not the tac. The flash is always on, the tac is only on when aiming, which I don't mind.

@Woody, this was on a quiet is server. Played the same map with no troubles with more people on. Got the ge force 550 tdi. Only 4gb of ram though

550ti is a pretty shit card these days, I've thrown out better. The 4gb ram is actually really good, in theory. Not on a 550 though. The VRAM becomes useful with heavy textures on high resolutions - and a 550 would just crawl on anything classed as a high res.

One point to remember tho - what resolution do you game at? A 550 is a shit card, but if you only play at low res, something less than 1080p then it'll do the job I guess..just.

I've got an old AMD 5870 in a draw which is about twice as good, but it's been sitting there so long I don't know if it still works otherwise I'd send it to you

I'm running an I5 3750k, 8Gb fast RAM and an Nvidia 660 2Gb card - I still get the sound error and it's not a lack of resources / power.

I'm running an I7 2700k, 8Gb RAM and an Nvidia GTX 580 with only 1.5Gb - everything is set to Ultra at 1920x1080 and it runs fine. Never had the sound issues. One thing that comes to mind though is that I'm using a pair of USB headphones with on board audio decoder rather than relying on the motherboards audio chip.

I've had the sound error and I run an overclocked ninja rig with good soundcard and graphics card - the audio problems are most likelt down to Bf4 code not your hardware - they should be fixing it if haven't already with latest patch.
