How about poor people have to work ridiculous hours to scratch a bare existence on minimum wage without any hope of aspirational escape and that the disillusioned have turned to crime and drugs in such numbers that parts of the place are essentially no-go areas unless the police drive in armoured vehicles.

Khusrau, just remember that President Fatass lost the popular vote, and only won because of Russian support. Americans by an large do not like him or support him. And there are many Americans who recognize those problems and want to fix them. We cannot fix them until the GOP loses power and control, a difficulty due to gerrymandering and voter suppression but still a possibility.
