Manafort Memo Raises New Questions About Trump Tower Meeting
http://dailycaller.com/2017/08/31/manafort-memo-raises-new-questions-about-trump-tower-meeting/

Notes provided to federal investigators by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort are raising new questions about what was discussed in the Trump Tower meeting hosted last June by Donald Trump Jr.

NBC News is reporting that Manafort’s notes from the June 9, 2016, session show that the word “donations” was placed near a reference to the Republican National Committee. Manafort typed notes from the meeting into his phone as he sat in on the session, which was attended by Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and a group of Russians.

It is not clear what exactly Manafort’s notes referred to, though they have reportedly raised the suspicion of investigators working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller, a former FBI director leading the investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential campaign.

Another possibility for Manafort’s notes would be donations to the Democratic National Committee or Hillary Clinton campaign. The Trump Tower meeting was organized by Donald Trump Jr. after he was approached by an acquaintance who offered damaging information about Clinton.

good article in my opinion and the author's take-down of the cartoonist and where it was run similarly applies to many including folks here in terms of the false caricatures upon which they base their judgments.

Thanks! I hadn't seen that cartoon! It's going on my FB page now!

As if you'd know, rather than "KNOW."

Did your "eyewitness" who sees and reports on things that never happened tell you? You don't have a clue.

Actually, I didn't. Did Mac's "eyewitness" tell you that? Won't find it in my posts.

Are you that fond of being wrong that you don't even concern yourself about the shit you claim to be true? I give y'all enough real stuff, I don't see the need for you and other to keep making shit up.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/01/antifa-charlottesville-violence-fbi-242235
Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as “antifa” had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous, so much so that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified their activities as “domestic terrorist violence,” according to interviews and confidential law enforcement documents obtained by POLITICO.

Since well before the Aug. 12 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, turned deadly, DHS has been issuing warnings about the growing likelihood of lethal violence between the left-wing anarchists and right-wing white supremacist and nationalist groups.

Previously unreported documents disclose that by April 2016, authorities believed that “anarchist extremists” were the primary instigators of violence at public rallies against a range of targets. They were blamed by authorities for attacks on the police, government and political institutions, along with symbols of “the capitalist system,” racism, social injustice and fascism, according to a confidential 2016 joint intelligence assessment by DHS and the FBI
.

What was that again about "just being there to protect the counter protesters?

DHS studied “recent violent clashes … at lawfully organized white supremacist” events including a June 2016 rally at the California Capitol in Sacramento organized by the Traditionalist Workers Party and its affiliate, the Golden State Skinheads.

According to police, counter-protesters linked to antifa and affiliated groups like By Any Means Necessary attacked, causing a riot after which at least 10 people were hospitalized, some with stab wounds.

At the Sacramento rally, antifa protesters came looking for violence, and “engaged in several activities indicating proficiency in pre-operational planning, to include organizing carpools to travel from different locations, raising bail money in preparation for arrests, counter-surveilling law enforcement using three-man scout teams, using handheld radios for communication, and coordinating the event via social media,” the DHS report said.

Sooner or later, someone will be killed whether alt-left, alt-right, or someone legitimately protesting, or even bystanders. Sooner or later I think we'll see and law enforcement officials are concerned about when either or both sides will go from melee weapons and simple chemical warfare to the use of firearms. Or they might take a page from the terrorist/thugs in the UK so fond of acid attacks.

1. It is one guy, not "Republicans."
2. He's wrong
3. Trump isn't likely (according to your own article) to do so.
4. I've not heard anything from anyone else (yet) backing Rohrbach
5. The folks who are "so concerned" are from the same agencies that apparently allowed themselves to become "weaponized" by the WH to spy on US citizens strictly for political motives. They may also be involved - quite likely based on some of what's been leaked - of some of the felonious leaks of information that have repeatedly happened since the election.

Many on both sides of the aisle still think Assange is a traitor. I'm one of them. But just like DAs cut deals with criminals based on what they might be able to produce, I'm not ruling out him getting some sort of deal based on all of what he may be able to provide. Is that a "good thing?" Can't say. In principal, no, just like many plea agreements are very distasteful to me. But there are other bigger issues relating to Assange totally separate from RUSSIA! and DJT and the election that might get the attention of the powers that be.
