Talk about living in an alternate universe. Ever hear of videotape? When multiple sources have it on film, citizens from the counter protesters are on record, and there are police arrests, that rose colored glasses fiction from the"eyewitness is a joke.

So, in your universe, videotape gives a denser, more accurate experience than actually seeing events with one's own eyes?

No wonder you voted for Trump.

Changing topics a bit, when/where do people think Trump will get the war he's so obviously looking for to save his presidency?

I notice he's sending more troops into Afganistan instead of getting out, as promised, but... meh. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

Anyone here think he's a big enoughh buffoon to actually light things off in Korea?

I think he'd like to, but I think that cooler heads in the WH are trying to steer him away from that horror show, the way you'd steer a toddler away from an expensive porcelain vase. He'll get a war, though. Somewhere in the Middle East would be my inexpert guess, where the short term political cost is relatively low yet still sinking us deeper into the quagmire. Iran, maybe?
I'm not a bad man but in certain situations I have to ask myself - what would a bad man do?

In my universe, multiple different independent accounts of eye witnesses speaking to different press organizations PLUS videotape PLUS photography PLUS police arrests do indeed give a more accurate depiction of the experience than one asshole's bullshit claims of what they saw.

No wonder you voted for Trump.

Except you have that declarative completely wrong, just like so much of the other Brazilian Sewer Shit you shovel.

What a bullshit position. Not saying that he won't but if he was indeed looking for a war to get into to "save his presidency" there are more than enough opportunities RIGHT NOW and have been since the day he was elected, including inherited stuff from his predecessor.

I notice he's sending more troops into Afganistan instead of getting out, as promised, but... meh. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

Which I opposed as soon as it was announced. You can look at my earlier posts where I've laid out what I see as the preconditions that should exist before committing forces anywhere. Syria. Yemen. Re-surging piracy in Africa. Sudan. Nigeria. Boko Haram. ISIS in Libya (remember how we saved Libya from Qaddafi?) Mexican drug lords on the border and into northern Mexico. Venezuela.

You really think he isn't already spoiled for choices? If he WAS going to do that, wouldn't he have done that?

Anyone here think he's a big enoughh buffoon to actually light things off in Korea?

I don't think he's looking to do that at all. Were he the madman so many here credit him with being, there have been provocations that could have been used as excuses to start the dance. Not valid reasons, but things that could be used as excuses. I think even Le Grand Cheeto is smart enough to know the potential danger to the world of letting the mushroom genie out of the bottle. I think the bigger question is how to respond to the provocation from the crazy Norker when that loon does step over the line, either intentionally or accidentally? A ballistic missile "test" that against all odds comes down on a civilian ship - tanker, cargo ship, etc. No warhead required, just the kinetics of that thing and all of its mass with the speed it will be traveling. Or another shot that overflies Japan, has computer / engine / structural / electronic / computer problems and hits Japan? Particularly if it hits a major city? "Bad boy! Time out with no pornography for you!" isn't going to cut it and I'm thinking a response will come immediately, not waiting the weeks it will take the UN Security Council to issue another strongly worded declaration and sanctions that will be ignored just like all of the previous ones.

And whatever that response would be, what the crazy Norker will do in return?

No, you're right. He can't lay claim to Afghanistan. That's been claimed by the entire administrations of two, count them two previous presidents.
And if he's going to stake his claim on North Korea, he's going about it wrong by pissing off the Chinese in the East South Middle China Seas.
Venezuela is just a basket case. Even Trump isn't that dumb.
I'm going for Lithuania.
