Changing topics a bit, when/where do people think Trump will get the war he's so obviously looking for to save his presidency?
What a bullshit position. Not saying that he won't but if he was indeed looking for a war to get into to "save his presidency" there are more than enough opportunities RIGHT NOW and have been since the day he was elected, including inherited stuff from his predecessor.
I notice he's sending more troops into Afganistan instead of getting out, as promised, but... meh. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.
Which I opposed as soon as it was announced. You can look at my earlier posts where I've laid out what I see as the preconditions that should exist before committing forces anywhere. Syria. Yemen. Re-surging piracy in Africa. Sudan. Nigeria. Boko Haram. ISIS in Libya (remember how we saved Libya from Qaddafi?) Mexican drug lords on the border and into northern Mexico. Venezuela.
You really think he isn't already spoiled for choices? If he WAS going to do that, wouldn't he have done that?
Anyone here think he's a big enoughh buffoon to actually light things off in Korea?
I don't think he's looking to do that at all. Were he the madman so many here credit him with being, there have been provocations that could have been used as excuses to start the dance. Not valid reasons, but things that could be used as excuses. I think even Le Grand Cheeto is smart enough to know the potential danger to the world of letting the mushroom genie out of the bottle. I think the bigger question is how to respond to the provocation from the crazy Norker when that loon does step over the line, either intentionally or accidentally? A ballistic missile "test" that against all odds comes down on a civilian ship - tanker, cargo ship, etc. No warhead required, just the kinetics of that thing and all of its mass with the speed it will be traveling. Or another shot that overflies Japan, has computer / engine / structural / electronic / computer problems and hits Japan? Particularly if it hits a major city? "Bad boy! Time out with no pornography for you!" isn't going to cut it and I'm thinking a response will come immediately, not waiting the weeks it will take the UN Security Council to issue another strongly worded declaration and sanctions that will be ignored just like all of the previous ones.
And whatever that response would be, what the crazy Norker will do in return?
