Bloody Pagans coming over here causing trouble!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/27/pagans-demand-return-church-buildings-stolen-1300-years-ago/

You have to admire their chutzpah - 'you nicked our sacred stones mate! Give us compo!'

I suppose the Celtic Church could put a counter claim in on both of 'em?

I wonder what 1400 years back rent on the Temple Mount is?

NBC's Katy Tur: Hillary Clinton Memoir A "Gift" To President Trump
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2017/08/27/nbcs_katy_tur_hillary_clinton_memoir_a_gift_to_president_trump_mcconnells_not_the_foil_people_want_him_to_go_after.html

'Meet The Press' host Chuck Todd and NBC's Katy Tur discuss the impact Hillary Clinton's new book might have on President Trump:

CHUCK TODD: Wow. Can't wait to hear what Donald-- how is Donald Trump going to handle, Katy Tur--

KATY TUR: "Crooked Hillary Clinton" is the first thing we're going to hear. Listen, Donald Trump always benefited whenever Hillary Clinton was in the news. When she was criticizing him he could use her as a foil. He doesn't have that good foil right now. Mitch McConnell is not the foil that people want him to be going after.

Hillary Clinton works because it's somebody that animates his base. Not only his base, it animates independents who held their nose and voted for him, animates soft Democrats. And it underscores, once again, that the Democrats don't have a unifying force that is leading them through this. They don't know where to go. So Hillary Clinton['s book] is certainly a gift.

CHUCK TODD: --sounds like her book's going to be very backward looking. And Democrats, they're going to get split on this. I want to read about it, at the same time, they do feel her pain.

Happy to correct you.
No it's not.
There were Jews in Israel throughout history.

Yes there were

Victims of Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Crusaders, Egyptians, Turks and Brits.

As the Greeks were victims of the Romans, The Arabs the victims of the Crusaders and round and round we go.

After being told 'go back to your own country' after each pogrom some of us got the message and went home.

Yes they were, but many many people lay claim to land for reasons religious, political, cultural and historical. It does not grant them rights above the people in situ on such property.

There was never a Palestinian state until Israel created one and the grateful Arabs lob rockets at Israeli schools.

"Never had a state" - That's the argument always trotted out by colonists - Australian aboriginals and the Sioux never had a "state". But they are so grateful for the reservations and bantustans. Palestine was an administrative area under the Ottoman empire and there are plenty of Commonwealth war memorials commemorating the Palestinian campaign. Did they get it wrong?

21% of Israeli citizens are Arabs and it could have been more if some of the Arabs hadn't repeatedly tried to finish off what their hero Hitler started.

Oh dear. Look, trying to attain self determination or supporting your own ethnic group does not mean you automatically worship others who tried to commit genocide against the people who are oppressing you and claiming your property. Also, given the Jewish diaspora, it would have frankly impossible for the Arabs to "finish off what Hitler started". But you are nominated for a Godwin award...

100% of Australian Aboriginals are now Australian. 100% of Native Americans are now citizens of the United States. Neither group has realized the full benefit of such citizenship, in fact the term "second class citizen" is much more appropriate.

Frankly, I DO support an Israeli state along the lines of the 2 state solution as was agreed upon in the Camp David accords, however BOTH sides have failed to meet their obligations. I would really like to see Jerusalem made into a City State / Free City along the lines of Vatican city but with an Interdenominational style leadership, it seems to be the only way to accommodate the 3 faiths laying claim to it - I will leave it better minds than mine to sort that out though.

An administrative area is not a nation. I would venture that they were referring to a geographic area, just like the North African campaign and similar. That does not make "North Africa" a specific homeland to be claimed. Israel OTOH had been a nation over a long span of history.

It seems that Bill's and my plans of tearing Frothers apart by its logical contradictions are working.

As if that's not bad enough, "From this day forward, all the toilets in the Kingdom shall be known as ... JOHNS!"
