Yet you were a supporter of policies that would have made things worse, increased the debt, not addressed unfunded liabilities and more. But, if you WANTED to worry, Bern would have been a great choice!

But enough on that...tomorrow is Boston!

‘Stay Away From The Common’ During Boston Free Speech Rally, Walsh Urges

But unlike Terry "I'm the Clinton Crime Family's Bag Man" McAuliffe, VA's governor, it sounds like the folks up north actually have a plan in place, barriers in place, forces on station and prepared. Of course, that doesn't mean that the Nazi's and other alt-right wind thugs won't manage to butt heads with ANTIFA who will likely also be there looking for trouble. But Boston seems to have their shit together.

Oh! Increased debt! Yeah! Hey, I got an idea: let's build a trillion dollar wall and start a couple of wars! That'll certainly bring debt down!

I've repeatedly posted about the dangers of the debt and unfunded liabilities and blame the folks on both sides for their malfeasance. I'm not in favor of us paying for the wall and have stated specifically what should be the circumstances before we commit troops anywhere.

I've also taken issue with the expansion of the numbers of troops being sent to Afghanistan.

So, surprise, surprise, we are in agreement.

The way Trump is pissing off GOP Senators I don't think any of his legislation will pass.

He'll need them too if impeachment comes to pass.
Remember what I said. It's POLITICAL. You don't really need "High crimes or misdemeanors."
"Fuck him. He pissed me off. Let's let Pence try. Oh? High crime? Being a douchebag."
I saw a list of 6 Republican senators who would sit it out and not leap to his rescue. And he keeps pissing if more and more of them.
Would St John McCain ride to his rescue? Lindsay Graham? It would amuse them to be courted, but.....

I believe a substantial number of GOP legislators would sell their children to go into the mid-terms with a tax cut to brag on. I'm just not certain the conservatives will swallow no cuts for those $250,000 and up and the moderates won't do that without a hard ceiling on benefit.

I remember William F Buckley famously collecting his Social Security checks. "I paid into the damn thing. Of course I'm going to collect."

Which, of course, completely misrepresents the nature of Social Security - or, at best, shows him to be an amoral dick.

Social Security is a Ponzi scheme into which we are forced and compelled to invest. (I deliberately avoided putting words in "quotes" because it would be far too messy.)
It's rate of return would scandalize a legitimate investment firm and have them put out of business.
How does taking back a fraction of what you were forced to contribute make Buckley an amoral dick?
Because he was rich? Then if he had his own investments, why was he forced to pay in?
It's theft, pure and simple.
