Just a comment about the use of WW2 pictures - I'd say that, with all due respect to those who fought Nazi Germany, the original anti fascists were the Volunteers of the International Brigades. I'll add that the local memorial to the IB volunteers was defaced with Nazi graffiti.

I have this image of a German General Apathy making similar comments in the 1930s and 40s - how various people are breaking certain laws etc etc. This continues right up to the point where some very annoyed gents in khaki invite him at gun point to witness the hell of the local concentration camp.
