I explicitly called out anarchist violence upthread as nutters who should go to prison.

However, why am I silent (even though I'm not) ?

Because the far left are fringe lunatics while the far right have the support of sympathetic minds in government, lending the violence of the state to their deranged plans?

Because the terror attack this week was carried out by a right-wing terrorist?

Because the far-right have organization, money and feverish hysteria on their side, while the far left couldn't organize their way out of a bakery?

Because I've spent time talking to people in both camps and have seen the marked differences?

Because I abhor "but what about" tactics?

If communist islamist lizard people were in charge of the country, I'd be shouting about protecting property rights and the freedoms of the market, but they aren't so I don't have to.
At this particular moment.

Unlike you, I don't live with a steady stream of hatred beamed into my brain by ultra-conservative media. So I don't see enemies hiding behind every bush and I don't have to connect everything in life to the people the media tells me to hate.

Why are you such a hypocrite?

You can fight your own battles.

My interests in this thread are:

Immigration laws. Free trade. Economic policy in general.
And lately the white supremacist terror attack since due to my circles of friends and family, threats against immigrants and jews is something I take to heart.

If you want to talk about idiots on campus undermining free speech or why "no platforming" isnt compatible with a free democracy, I'm all ears. Ill even be on your side.

Men and women of faith speak about who stood up for them when they were threatened by the white supremacists.

Where were the heavily armed militias that insist they are defending our freedoms? The militias and oathkeepers and other LARP'ers?
Why weren't they present to protect these protesters from assault by radical extremists?

Oh... they were on the other side, doing the attacking.

Fair enough.

Sure sounds like the nazis were rioting, and the ANTIFA were trying to protect women and preachers. But Grampa Apathy has been spending the past 20 pages saying both sides were bad? Is he actually a liar?

Being a douchebag isn't against the law but it should have consequences.

Were you ever fired?

A secessionist and a black nationalist pledge peaceful dialogue after Charlotteville...
In response to the recent events in Charlottesville, something interesting happened in Charleston, South Carolina, yesterday that could be a road map forward.

A secessionist and a black nationalist came together to make sure the racial tensions in their town do not lead to what happened in Charlottesville.

They agreed to what they’re calling the Charleston Accord, which says though they may continue to be on opposite sides of an issue, they would have an open dialogue, promote legal avenues for change, work to prevent violence, and collaborate for the public good when they could.

Meanwhile, the search for excellence at the White House continues with the appointment of an ex teen model / fashion designer as Comms Director.

If that is the case then you are disengaging yourself from a fight you need to be in. And it isn't against me.

Immigration issues, economic policies and the recent terror attacks are all impacted by the alt right and by extension by all the brown shirts here who have decided they need to take the law into their own hand. If you think that is just my fight, you aren't looking beyond the next tree.
...all this from someone who is neither apathetic nor a general

Hey Fuckwit!

Yes, we have all decided to take the law into our own hands and declare that rambling bullshit above as a reason to have you sectioned.

Calling people brown shirts now?
I guess your own racism (Pearl Harbour quote anyone?) drives you to that extreme.

So, you seem to think if we DON'T speak up against something we condone it.

Haven't heard you speak out against dog rape.
