Like in the GDR...

I'm absolutely fine with the government allowing free speech and lawful assembly no matter how vile the speech and these assholes were absolutely free to assemble and say whatever.

I am equally fine with their fellow citizens such as these folks employers learning what their employees do in their spare time and firing their racist ass.

I'm retired now but had I an employee that vile, I would have canned them at the first opportunity.

General Apathy is getting another kicking, You could almost feel sorry for him, if he wasn't such a monumental cunt.

Carry on kicking. Maybe he'll get the message that fascists and their fellow travellers aren't welcome in civilised company. Or maybe he won't, he seems a bit thick.

I'm all for mobs beating the shit out if fascists. I just have a hard time figuring out which faction at Charlottesville were the fascists. Both were acting equally vile until the cunt with the car scored an own goal. Suddenly the seeet innocent antifa became the victims. It helps to have the press on your side from the beginning.
Strange. The first time I heard a car had plowed into a mob of "innocent protesters" I had no clue which side did it. As it turns out, it was a lone wolf, vaguely sympathetic to a side that didn't even know he was there, but that was enough to tip the scales and decide who were the bad guys.
It was like the streets of Berlin in 1919-32. No matter which faction won, the country was fucked. The worst side win.

Well that's bollocks.^^^^^

The side under the banner 'Unite the Right' and calling themselves White Supremacists is fairly obviously the fascist side.

As for moral equivalence (I know everyone was very naughty and breaking some jaywalking law) that argument means these guys

were the same as these guys

Oh no! Wait! Those nice smart chaps were marching legally - protected by 6,000 police whereas that suspicious looking rabble at the top were breaking the law!

Now whose side do you support?
Think carefully.

I entirely support free speech and freedom of assembly.

I also support the right of people who don't want to be murdered because of their imagined ethnic differences to be jolly well ticked off and even get a tad feisty in their responses to invitations to gas chambers. Intemperate of me I know.

Ah, but what you don't realise is that JJ PARUS THE NAZI APOLOGIST thinks that as long as the law is upheld then all is fine. And in Nazi Germany it was quite OK for those jews to be sent to the camps. So that's OK then.

Fuck off! JJ isn't a Nazi apologist, or a Nazi. If you can't see he's just precise about disliking social disorder you're fucking mad.

I was addressing inarticulate guest who couldn't decide if self proclaimed Nazis might be more fascist than some lefties looking for a fight.

And just because someone wears an 'Antifa' shirt does not make them a great person. Life's a bit more complicated than that, and part of the reason for keeping it that way by discussion is because once you get to Cable Street violence being the right thing to do, things have gone too far. So the authorities need to step up to the crease and take proper guard. Now.

All too many of the smug self righteous bigots here lack the grey matter to understand.

I would have thought that perhaps the full force of the law, going after the bastards would be a good start. I called them domestic terrorists which in turn opens up new options to do much more. Their organizations can be gone after to ruin legally and financially.

But for the anarchists here, they are only interested in mob mentality. They use the same justifications the Nazis and fascists have always used. They happily overlook examples of their actions that did not turn out so well. I saw no one saying how much better it was when the lawbreakers doing "the right thing" in their minds to whatever extent necessary happened to followers of Lenin, Mao, Castro, and others of the same ilk.

Their same logic is used by those who advocate, justify, and carry out assassinations of police officers. Never mind that the wrong doers in the police force are typically found guilty and punished in a court of law. No, far better to "kill'em all" because they are "part of a corrupt system that is supposedly waging war on the Black community.

They also lack the ability to discern the differences between what I've posted and what they want to think I posted.
Hypocritical cowards, the lot of them.

Who cares with such a puerile and tacky story?
It doesn't matter whether it's true or false (and how would anyone know anyway, just because they may be in the UK?), the point of the story is to amuse and outrage the readers. It's veracity is irrelevant.
