When they shriek about "illegal voting", what they are saying is not "I have looked at the evidence and it supports significant voter fraud, so we're going to safeguard our democracy by instituting bipartisan solutions".

What they say is "we're going to fuck with the voting system, to help keep us in power, and we made up this story to justify it".

Years back, someone on TMP made a big stink because he was asking about taking his Nazi tattoos to Germany and people were like "yeah mate, you're going to get fucked up by the locals and then arrested".

The Chinese tourists in that story should probably have been cut some slack. Asia has a rather strange relationship with Nazi motifs:

This has been a crazy weekend. A horrible weekend. Yesterday, I had the news (CBC News Network) on as I was scratchbuilding some Russian artillery carriages. And they were running clips and interviews of the Charlotteville clashes. I had finished before the car incident happened, and turned it off a good half hour before. So I was taking note of the various symbols used as Fascists, Confederates, BLMs and Antifa were geared up and beating each other up. Desecrated hybrids of the American flag with a huge Black Sun in the centre, large white shields with black saltires (and smaller round shields with the same saltire but with a red ring, pointing at the obvious union of Nazis and Confederates), Black Sun shields, an actual, bonafida, real-life Freedom Party flag flown side by side with the Confederate Battle Flag http://turtledove.wikia.com/wiki/Freedom_Party, all interesting designs with horrible connotations behind them. I'm a wargamer, I'm into alternate history, but I'm more left of centre. And then, there's defacing sports team logos with these symbols. Do they really think they can get away with this? It's just... Why?

Trump* sympathizes with them, and has their leaders (Bannon, Gorka, etc) in the White House. They are emboldened by federal and state politicians, and the police are not particularly inclined to crack down on them. So they are trying to normalize white supremacy and neo-nazi beliefs.
