Sanders may call himself a 'Socialist' but he'd only get away with it in the US.
It's the centre right and then on towards midnight and the lightning rune cafe.

If you look at the democratic party program, they aren't all that different from a left-wing party in Europe, unless we're doing the whole "left only means abolition of capital" or something.

Doesn't mean every person and politician is in support of everything on the program or that the program is legislatively realistic, but that's big tent politics for ya.

LMFAO

Have Septics got a different European political spectrum than Europe has then?

American Democrats are far right of any European centrist lefties.

Except for Grampa Apathy, who think American Democrats are to the left of Stalin.

Actually I don't Rebby. Not that you'd ever let lack of evidence to support your claims stop you.

I'm doing it because it gets to you and aggravates you.
Which it clearly does because you've mentioned the points scoring a few times now*.

What's the point when the oil companies, the CIA and the locals behind Lopez are doing a great job of helping Maduro into oblivion?

Nick is crap but he has had a whole raft of trouble makers and coup plotters fucking the country up for him and ordinary Venezuelans for years.

Like a fascist Maquis they've hoarded goods, disrupted supply chains, made the streets a no go area for ordinary people and fucked up as much of the economy as they can. Yes the oil price hasn't helped but then the oil price has been rigged by the US and Saudi to fuck up Russia and in a happy coincidence Venezuela.

Once again the west, and the US in particular, are all in favour of exporting 'Democracy' just as long as the 'people' choose the right way.

Of course! Not much point otherwise. :D

You'd think by now that the powers that be would have learned that simply installing voting does not make a democrisy. Without a civil society and the culture needed to support that sort of government, it is a really stupid and meaningless gesture, doomed to failure, and with consequences that may be worse than had they left things alone.

Okay, so what policies specifically would be "far right" compared to a centrist left party in Europe?
