Getting ready for his clowning Mr Johnson waits for his boss to tell him what his policy is.

(Mr Cummings of course spent three years in Russia in the Wild East phase 94-97, failing to run an airline but making lots of contacts).

We have a nice word for 'Clown Phobia'

Do we have one for 'Upper Class Clown Phobia?'

Aristocoulrophobia?

So they couldn't find a guy still walking around in his clown suit, eh? I'm surprised, I must say.

"Fear of noble legs"?

Apologies for injecting Septicism into the thread, but this reminds me of another phobia incident, when Representative "Bomber Bob" Dornan took to the floor of the House to reply to critics:

"I've been accused of homophobia. Fear of Man? Hatred of Man?"

I assume he assiduously avoided homogenized milk.

Poor old Mr Dornan -
The compound word 'homophobia' is of Greek derivation, not Latin and means 'fear of the same'
Which probably doesn't help
This further complicated because it is a synthetic (aren't they all?) word, really contracted from 'homosexual phobia'.
The complication arises because 'Homosexual' is one of those mash ups beloved of 19th and early 20th century 'experts' where we have the Greek 'Homo'=same, and
the Latin 'sexualis' = sex

so 'homosexual' means same sex, (albeit with two distinct language roots) not sex with a man.

Poor benighted colonials. :D

(I wonder if Mr Johnson paid sufficient attention while beating fags to remember the dual root?)

Maybe they looked through the security footage and couldn't find one...

I'd like to know more about this patriotic party: did someone dress up like this?

Homoeroticism isn't the same as homosexuality, yet the red hatted retards here, can't tell the difference when I pointed out their hypocrisy.

You'll be telling me there's a guy in Niger selling Yellow Cake Uranium to Iraq next. :loopy:

Just a little reminder -- who's being Mr. Obvious now, Bronny? :D

I'm just dissapointed no one noted my own neologism. :(

Probably me
but I was being kind of ironic.
Although I do love the way those classical purists smooshed together Greek and Latin without any compunction.

My apologies for missing the legs reference - never as good at Greek as Latin.
