It happens in my business. It's strange because I essentially work side-by-side with my competitors. We get along well, we treat each other to lunch, we share different tricks with one another in an air of collegial friendliness, but I never say too much about my projects because I fully expect them to use it against me. No hard feelings, it's just business.

Well here, I think Brad Pitt explains it better than I can:

Killing Them Softly. Brad Pitt plays a hitman.

I see that the TMP intelligentsia are now declaring this the end of KM. Are they overstating things? This doesn't seem to me like something that should be a crippling blow. Based on what the other manufacturers are saying, he at least deserves a smack in the head but I can see myself still buying his stuff at some point.

Also, they seem pretty certain that this is all some elaborate ruse by Larry Dunn. First, how compelling is the evidence? Second, does it matter?

It's toy soldiers, of course it doesn't matter. His only problem is going to be advertising new stuff. Can't wait for his first post here, that will be amusing.

"He's even painted the socks 0;)" Oh wait, that one's already been done.
"Who sculpted those figures, they look so puppet like."
"Whoever he was, he Dunn a good job."
"Those figures look vaguely Aryan, good."
"I wonder if you could use them with I Ain't Been Shot Mum."

....and on and on and on. The hilarity will never die.

I dare say the larger percentage of his buyers never visit TMP or care what goes on there. 95% of wargamers wont give a toss anyway. Most people buy figures based on if they like the figures not on whether they like the person selling them.
And as for advertising them, I'm sure Tango will carry right on handling his advertising on TMP 0;)

If people refused to buy wargames stuff from unspeakable human beings, Stafford Games would have gone bust years ago. several Miniatures companies are run by people I would not piss on if they caught fire, but if the figures are good I will buy from them and is suepct many others will think likewise. And being unable to advertise on TMP is hardly a death-blow is it?.

(not Stafford, he deserved nothing from me but contempt, but he was a special case)

It's business though so morals don't count.
Just to be straight I've got no problem with anyone else making money working for wankers/twats/cunts/etc, I wouldn't but I'm pissed most of the time, and therfore unable to work for W/T/C/E anyway :)

The Khurasan Miniatures listing on Linked In shows attendance at New York University: link

Larry Dunn also attended New York University; link

You may form your own conclusions…

Umm more than one person attended New York University? I dunno, give us a hint :?
