Hell hath no fury like a MontyBill outed... He's been waiting to get his own back on someone on this thread for ages and the Monkeyborg letter campaign didn't go so well.
Editor in Chief Bill wrote:It also 'thins the herd' so to speak, so that marginal and under-financed companies fall off the radar, leaving the better managed companies to dominate the news sphere.

Bless him. That's a premium-rate rant he launches into,
To be perfectly clear, Bill made no attempt to contact me before making the libelous post I've quoted from above. Where he got the idea that the account was operated by Khurasan I neither know nor care, but it certainly wasn't some magical display computer detective skill. I will not be communicating with him until I've spoken to my lawyer about whether his behavior is actionable. If so, I will make him pay dearly for conflating me with Porfirio Rubioso, an individual I found to be entirely repellent in every way.

Hope he has a good lawyer - one who can actually read and comprehend written english, and gently send him home with a small invoice.

[Munching popcorn while watching Bill slag off yet ANOTHER great up-and-coming manufacturer.]

Mike, I dunno what "proof" Bill has, but even if HGA were KM, I don't see what he did as being incredibly horrid and deserving of banning. Outing the guy, dawghousing him and telling him that if he's caught doing this again he may be banned, OK.

But I searched through HGA's stuff and found him slagging on Khurasan from time to time. I also don't think his negative comments were that far off the mark.

Note that I have never bought from Khurasan, by the way.

All this shows me that it is a very good thing that Lead Adventure Forum and Wargames Website are up and running. This kind of shit is very harmful to the industry. It is one thing when Billidum bans someone like me (3mm enthusiasts the world over wept bitter tears, I know). It is quite another when a man who has this degree of demonstratable paranoia and poor impulse control trashes on some of the best companies in the business.

I dunno mac, sock-puppetry is not murder, or rape, or inventing the vuvuzela, and banning someone from a wargames forum is not a death-sentence or exile to Brazil, or some such ghastly fate.

Bill decided KM was being a naughty boy and chucked him out. KM will continue to prosper or not based on their figure quality, and few will care. TMP will continue on its merry trip up armintrout's sphincter and few there will care in the long-term either.

HGA said a few bad things about Khurasan from time to time? Well, that's how you manage a decent sock-puppet so it's not obvious, as I believe I have shown from time to time in my 'Rebelyell2006' persona.

Now - the lastest accusation on TMP that Khurasan is linked to Larry Dunn? That would put me off buying anything from them, and if it's not true and I was KM I would come down on Bill so fast it made his head spin.

Seems like a Bill special hatchet job to me with some flavour thrown in from other manufacturers out of spite.

I respect your opinion. If you were Khurasan Miniatures and this was what happened, would you not be frothing mad, and shouting your outrage and furious denial of the accusations on all the websites Bill has no control over? I know I would.

Instead..... well, is there a tumbleweed icon?

Maybe he is seething, but just being professional about it and waiting on lawyers? Supposition I know but having 45+ sock puppets? Seems a bit on the "over the top" scale to me.

Thats almost as many sockpuppets as kemosabe has! The man must have stamina to run that many. How does he have time to be a corporate lawyer and run a miniatures business as well?

I'm backing out of this one, it seems a bit weird but I've heard some stuff too now. Fucking strange world.

Well that buggers up the member count. Advertisers would do well to check their click rate (assuming they can) against Bills figures. BTW this appears to be a pretty good option and the price point is excellent http://wargameterrain.blogspot.com.au/

I also suspect, well I know for a fact, that there is more than a few tmp members that have spare accounts, precaution against Bills erratic nature.
