Honour is not a word I used, but when it comes to complying with obligations, they are actually pretty inflexible. They are quite ashamed of appearing to do other than what they are supposed to in a given situation. I think it has something to do with rigid social structure and the strong obligations of social roles.

Of course there's a difference between honour as a verb and as a noun. They're not interchangable. They do indeed honour their commitments but they don't always behave with honour.
