Think this sums it up quite nicely: http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/cele ... 4032184886

Maybe God just loved him sooooooo much, he wanted him to be close.

I found the views of this man and his weird family to be highly obnoxious. I'm usually not the type to dance on graves because I've come to realize that there is an unlimited supply of bigoted, misanthropic troglodytes in this world, and if I stop to cheer the death of one, I'll be doubly depressed when three more pop up in his place tomorrow. Besides, what kind of a person would that make me? They'll just always be with us. We just have to slowly grind the bastards down, countering the bad with the good, to mitigate the damage that they do. But it's all we can do.

One positive thing that this man gave us all was an example of how ignorance and fear grows into hatred and evil when it's cultivated. I was truly encouraged to see the majority of people equally repulsed by what he stood for. It gave me hope in mankind.
I'm not a bad man but in certain situations I have to ask myself - what would a bad man do?

I always sort of assumed something awful has to have happened to someone for them to turn out that fucked up. Too bad he didn't find a better way to deal with whatever particular mental illness issues he had.

The guy was a biogted loon who kept adding more people to his cult. That said I feel no need to celebrate his death, no sadness that he is gone either.

Felt much the same way about Thatcher. I felt her treatment of the poor was abhorrent and felt giving her a state funeral was a colossal waste of money and middle finger to many by the current government. That said I was also disappointed by people who were talking of throwing party's and celebrating her death. I don't think you have to suddenly talk nicely about someone once they are dead but I think celebrating the death of someone who is not currently a threat to you is a little much.

He read the Bible.

He was addicted to amphetamines and beat his wife and children as well.

Perfect. Why lower yourself to their level? Demonstrate to them that their very methods are unacceptable and won't be practiced by decent people.

I've read that his family decided not to hold a funeral for him, which suggests to me that they feared something like that. One reaps what one sows.
