I've flown this and similar routes through SE Asia, there are times looking down, that the water seems near crawling with traffic in the Gulf of Thailand, Malacca Straights and Andamans, everything from putt putts to mega container ships and on one memorable occasion a carrier task group. Everyone seems to have a theory, for mine I suspect the plane did not go down in this region, derrr, I think the theory on loss of pilot conciousness and changed route might be a starter.... or it was so unlucky that not even the smallest piece of debris departed company with the plane itself, go figure.

even I managed to understand it, but the gist of it is that it was the latest CIA weapon developed at the infamous Skunkworks R&D base, with an implosion warhead as opposed to an explosion and was fired from a stealth fighter.
