Used to work with a guy who collected telephones. And electric fans. And hoovers. At least toy soldiers get some use out of them.... (theoretically)
...I've heard things about people from other people about certain people to back that up (c) Andrew May

We call those kind of people burglars around these parts.

Yuri Kreshkov arranges some the 3,000 bottles he has collected over the past 20 years and displayed in his two-room apartment in Kiev October 9, 2007. Kreshkov's bottles once contained beer, wine and liquor from various parts of the world.

Yuri's not a collector, he's an alcoholic. Although, wait until a Russian shell hits that lot… 0;)

Yuri is lucky the article came out after the Kiev protests. I'd read one article where the protesters were short on bottles to throw and they likely could have supplied all their efforts with just his collection.
It is. And it is not. When it is, and when it is not, is the question or the answer, or both or neither.

it would have been better for many if they had kicked down the wrong door and been forced to pelt the Police with Pandas, or Coronation mugs

That's less than three bottles a week.
I'd recognise that sound anywhere! That's the sound of a hundred heads deflating.

Herbert Chavez poses with his Superman memorabilia ....has undergone a series of cosmetic surgeries for his nose, cheeks, lips and chin down to his thighs and even his skin color to look more like the "Man of Steel".

So, who amongst us collects Dixons miniatures?

The superman guy is taking it a few steps beyond collection. There used to be a guy in a wargame group I used to belong to who would show up on game day dressed in the uniform of whatever side he was playing that day. That was a bit odd and eccentric, but I don't think he ever tried plastic surgery. Thank God I never saw him play WWII Germans.

Weirdest collections I've personally seen: my grandmother had a friend who collected popcorn shaped like famous people. She kept them on a shelf next to the tv. I never could see the resemblance. I always imagined it would be irritating eating popcorn with her in the room.

Here in Austin, Texas, we cherish the eccentrics in our midst (which is one of the reasons I love this place) and one of them is the guy who drives around town with a collection of toy dinosaurs glued to the roof of his car. The just cover the entire top of his car completely. I think he may have at least one imitator driving around as well.
I'm not a bad man but in certain situations I have to ask myself - what would a bad man do?

It was a joke. But thanks for working that out for us Rain Man.
