Is "North London" code for "Jews"? Much as I detest TMP's moderation system, I'll drop the dime on Sparker if it is.

Erm - are we really starting another "oh look at TMP" thread?

Sigh. Note that it's a PMT discussion I'm involved in. I'm asking a question in a place I assume would have the answer. Cluelessness and meanspiritness are not exclusive to PMT.

Well why not just ask the question without linking to Bill's asylum?

Er, because it is only fair to provide the full context and quoting the message is more work than just linking?

Is there an objection to linking to TMP in the FAQ, which admittedly I have not read?

[McFonz - I did, of course, google it first.]

Or even better - ask there . . . . . or google it.

Frothers isn't a virtual thesaurus. If he is a cunt, just say he is and move on.

Edit: There is an objection, asking us is the same as just asking on TMP apart from a lot of members of this forum couldn't give a flying shit about the TMP - which you'd know if you kept an eye on the recent cluster fuck that is 'the' TMP thread on here.

That. It's getting boring. Frothers seems to have recharged its miniature mojo recently and I for one want it to stay that way.

Hang on, in Hew's defence, he hasn't made any negative comments about TMP, just asked a question about a phrase that has flummoxed him and happens to have been used in a discussion on TMP. Linking to the topic is a much easier way of supplying the context than having to explain it here. I'm bored shitless of the "look at those TMPers" threads as well, but I really don't think that is the case here.

North London set? Hmm. Could be a reference to Golders Green I suppose, but just as likely to refer to the Islington and Hampstead dwelling media types that do seem to dominate the British intelligentsia. I think it would be rather unfair to assume the former without more substantial evidence, so go with the latter Hew.
