Belated farewell to Harold Ramis, writer of Animal House, Meatballs, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Back to School, Groundhog Day, and Analyze This, all of them completely silly, frivolous fun. He was also my favourite ghostbuster, Egon Spengler, and was brilliant on SCTV in the late 70s playing ridiculous, easily-flustered characters.
