sorry, thought you were talking about cannabis resin, sometimes called brown with weed being green, hence my confusion, my first thought was heroin but thought you were still referring to cannabis, doh.

And in many ways makes sense. Away in London? No one would question a sparkies van in a lay-by or door to door. It's almost a ticket to deal anywhere.

It's always the people you least expect that turn out to be doing something dodgy on the side. It wouldn't surprise me if that neighbour read the Daily Mail as well By the sounds of it he had a pretty nifty set-up in his loft and insulated it well to reduce the thermal signature, so the police helecopters couldn't see it from above. Being an electrician, he'd have been well aware of that and had the skills (and equipment) to reduce it.

Makes you wonder how they finally caught onto him.

Possibly. With all the misadventures I seem to have had since the start of the year, there have been more than a few policemen and women in the area, calling in to take statements etc. all it takes is one observant plod to follow his nose as it were. And we have decent coppers here in Walsall so the bust (although I think it was more a knock on the door than booting it down) may well have been intelligence led. Or the idiot could have just been stupid and got caught in the open.

I'm really really glad it's gone.
