Budapest is great, I can heartily recommend it. Been there twice, food was awesome and people were always nice. Also... why not do all of us a favor and have a bath while you're there:

Did a Baltic cruise a couple of years ago, fabulous, but we only went to Talinn in the Baltic States. Otherwise it was St Petersburg, Helsinki etc. Talinn was very pleasant though.

Would second the recommendations for Budapest, a great city where they consume vast quantities of beer and meat and has two excellent military museums.
