As a distraction from that prat on the TMP thread, here's a conversation I've just had over lunch with someone - if you could create your own three-day festival line-up, with bands past or present, what would it be?
You have to have a headline act for each day plus two or three support acts.
I'll go first to get the ball rolling...
FRIDAY
Levellers – headlining
The Pogues
Half Man Half Biscuit
Violent Femmes
SATURDAY
Nine Inch Nails – headlining
Rage Against The Machine
Rancid
The Cramps
SUNDAY
Jesus & Mary Chain – headlining
Bauhaus
Velvet Underground
Billy Bragg

Download 2010 came pretty close to what I'd have:
Friday: ACDC - Headlining with support from Them Crooked Vultures and Wolfmother.
Saturday: Rage Against the Machine - Headlining with support from Deftones and Megadeath.
Sunday: Aerosmith - Headlining with support from Stone Temple Pilots and Motorhead.
Thing is, I was there! I'd change out a couple of acts - probably Them Crooked Vultures for the Foo Fighters and then add in some really opposing styles for Deftones, Megadeath and Stone Temple Pilots - just because variety is the spice of life.

That'd do for me too. I'm too old for the festival shit.

The defiance thread has slowed down, so I've put some thought into your question Humph.
DAY 1: (This would be the day of music I'd want to see)
Neurosis, playing all four 90s albums in a row
Tragedy
Defeater
Hot Water Music, forced at gunpoint to play mostly old stuff
DAY TWO (Just for watching the fights)
Whichever band Jonny Marr is currently in.
Morrissey
Whichever band the rest of Guns n Roses are currently in
Guns n Roses
DAY THREE (The site is nuked the site from orbit once all the bands arrive)
Limp Bizkit, and anyone who has ever purchased anything by Limp Bizkit.
Deftones
Creed
Every black metal band that has ever existed.
Day three would be my favourite day.

If the three day festival could be at The Wargames Holiday Center in Crete playing Gravolette-St Privat with a good group of like minded enthusiasts I really wouldn't care what music was playing.
