driving into work, pressing the accelerator is slowing the car down, revs are full on or non existent, lack of power etc - looks like the gearbox is faulty, and a replacement(plus labour etc) would be more than the car is worth. looks like I'm fucked and relying on public transport until I can afford another car - watch out for lead sales you vultures
