Anyone watch the "History of Wales" TV series?

Postby The Masked Frother » Tue Feb 04, 2014 5:27 pm

In the most recent episode (shown here on TV Ontario so probably a few years ago in the UK) we are up to the modern era. They were going on about the Welsh Choirs and showed footage of the start of a Rugby or Football match with the players lined up to sing that Welsh anthem. Remember the scene? Anyway, the question is...was the cute blonde girl who sung the anthem a young Billie Piper?

No idea, but caught the last half of a Knight's Tale on Film4 yesterday featuring a young Laura Fraser/ Lydia from Breaking Bad. Do I win five pounds?
...I've heard things about people from other people about certain people to back that up (c) Andrew May

Best to use a process of elimination.

I'm watching Seige of the Saxons on Film4 now which is a tale of knights looking for Merlin who'll turn out to be a young(ish) John Laurie. (aka Frazer)
I think you still win tho.

Didn't see the programme, but Bilie Piper was born and grew up in Wiltshire so, maybe not?

It was probably Charlotte Church. She's Welsh

She was a 'classical' singer, until she went pop.

...or if it was a really old programme it could have been Katherine Jenkins.

She's an 'opera singer' who's never been in an opera

I really don't see what some people see in her. Although round these parts just being a Taffy is good enough for most of the knuckle draggers.
