TMPer trying out as a Frother/Introduction

Yep, I'm one of those assholes who judged Frothers based on hearsay and one minor incident. But, after some reflection, I came to the obvious conclusion that I can't judge something I haven't truly experienced, so I've joined Frothers.

About me: I paint minis more than I game with them. I enjoy most scales and genres, but I've settled in with doing 42mm Samurai from Steve Barber, and the occasional 54mm post-apoc conversion using Bronze Age figures. I enjoy painting, but I love doing some basic conversions. You can see my work over at http://carmensminiaturepainting.blogspot.com/, though, I'll post stuff here, too, as I get more comfortable.

I've been lurking here, and look forward to learning some new techniques I've seen mentioned throughout this forum.
I'm also active at TMP, Lead Adventure, and Two Hour Wargame's new forums.

Nice blog you have their, been looking at it for quite a while, I really liked the cavern sculpting you did a long time back.

The best place to put your work would be the painters forum, I'd suggest you leave the froth pot immediately, as it's the place that puts loads of folk off..

Anyway, look forward to seeing more of your work here.

TMPer?

You'll soon just be calling yourself a painter and gamer. ;)

Join the fun, swearing isn't compulsory, but you won't get banned or doghoused for anything (well only one thing) and can vent your spleen if you feel the need.

have fun.

That. All of it.

We don't have a stifle button, and the Froth Pot isn't for the faint-hearted, thin-skinned or humourless.

Everywhere else is reasonably safe. Safeish . For a given value of 'safe' :|

Well, I hung around the Froth Pot for a while first and later started posting in the other areas, and I'm ok. But I was ready for it. I had the missus scream obscenities and abuse at me for a whole evening first, to condition myself. I developed an immunity to the language AND got a fun Saturday night out of the deal, all at once.
