I'm not a paleo-con, or a con at all, but I like to read things from various political perspectives, and one of them is the paleo-con rag "Taki's Magazine."

This was published there recently, about the British (although of course it's really about the Americans):

That list did seem at least 20 years out of date unfortunately. But then, so were the complaints written before the list as well.

Yes, it's written by and for American right-wingers so it's going to be at least partly out of touch, and hopelessly dated. (Not neo-cons, though -- this was written for old style conservatives, so more Pat Buchanan than Bill Kristol.)

The one that made me laugh the most was the idea that some flighty long-haired Britons in sleeveless vests did the blues better than Muddy Waters or John Lee Hooker. Oh you zany paleo-cons! Anything to say white people are better than black people.

Think you're reading into it a bit more than it was intended.
